a US-based telecommunications service provider and is a wholly owned
subsidiary of an international holding MKTC Telenet, Ltd.
MKTC Telenet USA, Inc. is
a facilities-based carrier, operating in the USA under FCC license 214. It
provides carriers in the USA
with IPLs to Russia
and other CIS countries, and together with Russian-based partners (MKTC group
of companies) it also provides termination to these regions. Competitive
pricing and high quality (both channel and ASR) has allowed Telenet to
provide service to several well-established and quality-oriented carriers. The
New York
based switch of MKTC Telenet USA,Inc is currently connected to the networks
of Broadview, Mettel, Covista, Verizon and ICON.
MKTC Telenet USA, Inc.
also provides retail service in the US market, using its (and its
partners') proprietary debit platforms. Russian partners of Telenet have
pioneered the same service in the Moscow
market, and were among the first telecommunications companies to provide
alternative access services to businesses and population at large. The
services of MKTC Telenet USA, Inc are accessible from over 30 countries of
the world via local and/or toll-free access numbers, which makes our services
especially attractive for the international traveler.
The switches of Telenet
in New York and its affiliated companies in Russia are
connected via fiber links using the most modern technologies, such as SDH and
VoIP. In Russia,
our network uses only digital channels in full compliance with ITU
recommendations, with preference being given to ISDN technology. Such
channels are organized over fiber optics links; Moscow
partners of MKTC Telenet USA,Inc own a fiber optics network, which allowed us
to connect to all leading carriers in Moscow,
as well as to data transmission networks and local service providers. MKTC
group of companies also operates a leased line between Moscow
and St. Petersburg,
where we provide retail and wholesale services as well.
MKTC Telenet USA, Inc.
has been in business since early 1997, and successfully combines flexibility
and fast response to market conditions with the leverage given to it by its
established trade and credit ties to American businesses. The proprietary
switch technology, which is certified by Russian regulatory bodies for
deployment on the Russian PSTN, gives Telenet's Moscow partners the edge over competition
both in the price of the infrastructure and in the attainable functionality
of it. Research and development efforts of Telenet and its affiliated
companies are on the leading edge of computer telephony not only in Russia, but in the USA as well.
